Hey Everyone!!

So even though Memorial Day actually starts the BBQ season, its Fourth of July that really kicks off all summer BBQ/Cookouts. During these events there is usually a variety of different food available to eat and depending on your ethnic background you could be in for the temptation of your life!!! Next to holiday parties of course lol :)

So let’s start with the basic BBQ Food items and how to deal with that, and then I’ll go to the more ethnic side of meals.

First of all, In the beginning of the week, eat as clean as possible, this will help make caloric room for the yummy event , So fruits, Veggies, Lean meats, Teas, water etc.

Second, you are going to want to have a coffee or green tea in the morning to jump your metabolism up.

Third, Breakfast should be fiber filled, like ground flax seed oatmeal and apples, or chia seed smoothie with berries. Most BBQ lack fiber foods.

Fourth, prepare to bring a container, so you can take food home...DUHHHHJ

Fifth, you need to focus on protein, veggie and minor ( one scoop carbs) (potatoes/Rice/Noodles, Only do one soda or up to 2 wine coolers, majority water or coconut water for super hydration and potassium. Limited the bread, don’t get 2 burgers, 3 hot dogs (talking buns here) instead make a double cheese or triple cheese burger using the two buns, same with the hotdogs and you will get full faster.

  • As far as the snacks, hand amount with your food, or a quick grab in your hand, DON’T get a plate for chips and cookies.

Now this is for the basic BBQ now we need to get to the more ethnic side of things…

There are other side dishes and main dishes added , with these extra add-ons feed yourself as a child with a half of scoop and remember that container J see its not about to go waste. Instead of a doggy bag, or soggy plates to take home, you will have a nice container and be able to have food spread out for at least two extra days.

I hope I provided value to you.
